Hélène Desputeaux
Hélène Desputeaux is a teacher, writer and illustrator born in Quebec, 1959. She has a bachelor's degree in visual arts from Laval University and a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Quebec in Montreal. She was also a scholarship recipient of the Canadian Music Competitions in piano from 1969 to 1972. She has produced more than a hundred children's books since 1983. She is particularly known for her illustrations of Caillou from 1989 to 1995, before being embroiled in a dispute that sought to make her lose control of her works.
