GAN would like to follow SHUN out of the city but SHUN reminds him that this is going to be a serious military offence. SHUN is heading for Yizhou as arranged by LEUNG. Before he sets off, SHUN reassures LEUNG that he is going to win the Battle of Red Cliffs no matter what. CHOU YUE sends Deputy General YUEN to pursue SHUN but SHUN succeeds in making his escape and hides himself at the temple. YAU who is shocked to see SHUN inside the temple manages to rescue him.
